FAQ

Is TextAndPDF.com really free?

Yes. Every tool is free to use, with no account, no sign-up, and no usage limits. The site is supported by advertising rather than a paywall or subscription — see Privacy Policy for details on that.

Do I need to create an account?

No. There's no login, no email address required, and no account of any kind — you can use any tool immediately.

Is my data actually private? Does anything get uploaded?

Nothing you paste, type, or upload is ever sent to a server. Every tool — including the PDF tools — runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. You can verify this yourself by opening your browser's network tab while using a tool, or by disconnecting from the internet after the page loads; the tools keep working.

What are favorites and recently-used tools, and where is that data stored?

Starring a tool, or simply using it, adds it to your browser's local storage (localStorage) so it shows up under the ⭐ My Tools tab on the homepage. This stays on your device only — it isn't synced across devices or sent anywhere, and clearing your browser data removes it.

Do the tools work offline?

Each page needs to load over the internet the first time, but once a tool's page has loaded, its processing is entirely local. The site isn't set up for full offline/installable use.

Is there a file size limit, especially for the PDF tools?

There's no artificial limit set by the site, but since everything processes in your browser, very large files are limited by your device's own memory rather than a server-side cap.

Which browsers are supported?

Any recent version of Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari. The tools rely on standard modern browser APIs, so keeping your browser up to date is the main thing that matters.

How do I request a new tool or report a bug?

Email focusedweb1227@gmail.com with the tool idea or what went wrong — every message is read. See also the About page.
